It's alright for the price. I came here with my SO for an event. The event was beautiful! ✨ The bar staff were very nice & polite! Here are a few things that could've been improved: 1) The bar closed very early for the event. 2) The front desk staff were not particularly attentive. 3) The accessibility room shower area was very small, so our clothes and other things in the bathroom would get wet while we showered. 4) The carpark wasn't particularly wheelchair accessible.

Stayed here overnight in Room 220. It's a very comfortable room with two double beds, desk, single chair, flat screen TV, several power points and USB ports, mini fridge, kettle, bathroom, shower, bath and toilet. The shower was okay but pretty average and needs to be updated. The water flow through the shower head wasn't very good. And there's no power to the exhaust fan. The elevator is very old and outdated but works perfectly fine. It could use upgrading/replacing though. We had dinner at the Polo Cafe located opposite reception. It's a very lovely space with candles and mood lighting. The prices of the meals were reasonable and not too expensive. Room service is also available as well as undercover car parking. Check in/check out was fairly easy and straight forward. Located very close to the Royal Melbourne Hospital and Women's Hospital.

Very dissatisfied with standard of room, staff, service. Comfortable bed but dirty bathrooms with repairs and colleague wanted to clean it. Toilet seat up , not cleaned with sealed paper. Sorry to say, no shower cap, toothbrush or soap. Provided with highly scented large bottles with oils that made me skin breakout. Staff brought new linens, incorrect of what was requested, and they were marked with chocolate or something like that. Mattress topper needed to be replaced and urine marks on mattress. No quilt cover on quilt just top sheet? No dressing gown or slippers, Tv doesn’t work properly and wifi drops out. Windows not double glazed and you can hear every tram, car, beeping and street noise. Breakfast has no local or fresh produce as stated. No fruit, nice bread, cold cuts. The orange and apple juice containers are huge but only an inch in there. Not attentive staff and no mention of ‘Spa’, pool, fitness centre etc?? No welcome or introduction so don’t know anyone’s names. We asked about local supermarkets and was told they can print one out. But didn’t provide one or anything on attractions etc. One staff member said with great delight, after I mentioned a prolific smoker has left 9 cigarette buts all out of front of door, and despite having cleaning equipment in hand mentioned that the homeless people will come and get a whole cigarette out of them. Handy for hospital. Eat elsewhere and bring earplugs and own food. No minibar in room , you have to go to reception to buy limited stock. No water provided, you have to buy bottles at reception. Empty fridge except little milk pods. Not anything you need to deal with, especially if you’re attending to someone in hospital. Did not see any sanitation by staff, doors, lift. No Glen twenty or wiping down light fixtures or phones. Bring your own otherwise a whole children’s ward could go into quarantine. There are children having open heart surgery. Very dangerous and life threatening in some circumstances. I believe that this is the number clientele that would book this accommodation. I’m assuming there’s new management with no direction or directive for staff. The cooks also don’t wear masks/ gloves and keep touching multiple surfaces without hiding their behaviour or instructed otherwise. One ladies shoes were sticking to the floor as she walked around n you could hear exactly where she was! I’m sure none of this is intentional but just a few points of concern. Mostly because of the patients and risk to health, especially ICU or HDU.

Wow! Not to Mercure standard. Rooms in poor repair with blistering paint noted in both rooms we used. No hand towels. There was no tv service for 3/4 of our stay and no advisement of any issues until rung. There was no room clean or towel replacement, even after request, but they did give us access to another room after complaint. No tea towel or dishwashing liquid to clean cups and spoons. Very disappointed

Don’t get your hopes up. It’s just a basic hotel. We paid $240 for one night and no where did it mention the $25 for parking when we were booking. It’s a run down building, nothing nice or fancy about it. Which is fine if you don’t need or want any of the extras. The shower was lacking pressure and dripped continuously. Not 4 stars, maybe 3.
