What can I say about this little gem. We stayed here 3 time in our month in Australia. We found the staff very friendly, informative and professional, nothing was too much trouble. If we report anything (nothing major) about the room it was dealt with almost immediately. The apartment was of good size and comfortable. We did read or was told that as they are apartments, cleaning would not be done every day. That said bins were emptied every day and if you need a change of towels you just need to ask at the reception for the towels to be replaced. We made good us of the washing machine and tumble dryer during our stays. The kitchen area was very well equipped, hob, microwave, good sized fridge, crockery along with washing up liquid, clothes powder tea towels etc. Living area consisted of tv, settee, arm chair coffee and dining tables. The bedrooms consisted of a big bed, (very comfortable) bedside tables, a wardrobe and a safe with in the wardrobe. The only down side to the bedroom was they were very dark and needed more wall/ceiling lights, we were told this was being rectified as and when the rooms were refurbished. The hotel dose not have a restaurant, but there are plenty of places to eat near by. I would recommend The Blue Rock opposite the hotel for breakfast (not open any other time). I will do a separate review for the Blue Rock. As we were on holiday we didn’t want to cook ourselves. The apartments are in a good location. It is possible to walk into the centre of Perth but we used the cat buses, which are free. There is also 24/7 store just one block away. I would definitely recommend Mantra on Hay. Well done to all the staff and can’t wait to make a return visit.

This could have been a different review. Michelle and Matilde are stars of this hotel. Our stay started out ok until we turned on the shower and the water was drizzling and temperature shifted to extremely hot to cold continuously. It was late and we were tired so made the complaint the next morning. Matilde arranged for a tech to check the shower whilst we were out and later told me another room was ready for us. It was an inconvenience to repack and move nine bags to another a room but the water situation was remedied. Comments about other staff and facility. I was helping a mum to get a icebag because her child got hurt by falling over in the gym area. Tip. Ask the customer you're serving for understanding and attend to the request I made for ice and band aid immediately. Also on a different day, I saw a staff make a customer wait for about five minutes whilst he was typing up details into the computer. Another tip. Just jot down on paper quickly what you need to input into the computer and attend to the customer. They're not there to wait for you. The lifts are not integrated so you'll need to press the buttons on both ends to activate otherwise only one side will react. Lift doors are impatient so be careful with old or young ones that take time to get onto the lift. The pictures online are very different to the tired decor in reality. Lastly the five minutes drop off needs to be policed better. I get customers can go over this time but often saw delivery trucks parked in front of the hotel so inconvenient at times when needed. Four stars for the two ladies that acted swiftly and politely.

Room is huge, location is great. CAT stop in front of the hotel. Room is a bit dark lack of lights, kitchen utensils are old. Service is great, they tend to all your needs. Reception checked us in very quick

Stayed 7 Nights, overall was a good stay however we did experience couple of issue i.e. broken sofa, noise from next door, water pressure & temp hot / cold even when no one using water in the room. Staff was lovely & location is great / convenience.

Comfortable stay, polite good customer service, very nice walk to the city and WA Art Gallery. So much yummy food and fresh gourmet pies and sausage rolls in the city, very delicious and old school. I love Perth! I look forward to my stay again.
