My sister and I recently stayed at Oaks on Collins during our visit to Melbourne, and it was a great experience for us as leisure travelers. The location couldn’t have been better with convenient access to trams that took us everywhere we wanted to go. We also enjoyed dining locally, taking advantage of the great restaurants in the area. The staff at Oaks on Collins were always welcoming and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. We chose a room facing Collins Street, and we were pleasantly surprised by how quiet it was—no noise at all, which was perfect after our busy days exploring the city. The room itself was spacious, bright, and had tall ceilings that added to the overall comfort. However, we did encounter a couple of issues during our stay. The bathroom’s glass door was quite heavy and difficult to move, which was a bit inconvenient. Additionally, the shower floor was uneven, and we felt it could be a potential trip hazard—something to be cautious of. The lack of shelf space for toiletries was also a minor frustration. The coffee was terrible an unneccessary add on when there are so many great cafes nearby. Despite these small drawbacks, Oaks on Collins offered great value for the location, especially with its proximity to trams and the Crown Casino.

Conveniently situated near Southern Cross Station and trams. Friendly reception staff. Luggage storage facilities. Kitchen was spotless and very useful. Bed was comfortable. Lovely view looking out to the old Rialto building, now the Intercontinental Hotel.

The apartment is fine, although the bathroom is not very comfortable (Barbie sink with no possibility to keep even a glass, dividers in glass, etc.). Good position. We had problems with houskeepers for towels... every single day of our stay (7 days) and a day they did not even pass to keep the apartment...

Nice room. Clean enough. Was in 1102 which was very large. Windows do not open so no fresh air. Bathroom a bit pokey. Very interesting view from the room across the street.

Stayed here for business purposes for a night. Location is pretty good in the way it's a short walk to public transport, crown etc. Very busy street which makes ordering doordash or Menulog hard with parking and a few is charged if you get them to leave it with reception. Check in for me was pretty easy as they had self check in kiosks. The only disadvantage to this is that you don't get your breakfast voucher that you paid for doing it that way so I would check in with the reception. The breakfast is in another location a few minutes walk away which is a bit of an inconvenience but not too uncommon for Melbourne. There are plenty of lifts to take you up to your hotel rooms so lifts don't take very long. The rooms are compact but have a small kitchenette, balcony, bed, toilet, table and shower with shower screen. It's quite unique because it's like the toilet and shower are tucked away in a cupboard. Bed was comfy and plenty of pillow options to choose from. The room actually block out alot of noise which you notice if you go out on the balcony. My balcony overlooked some tall office buildings so I got to watch people work away while I sat back and enjoyed myself. The tv has most streaming services pre-loaded and just require you to sign in with your account but don't forget to sign out once done.
