The room was equipped with a kitchen including a dishwasher, toaster and fridge. There was also laundry facilities in the room which included a washer and dryer. The room however was a bit run down and required a refurbishment. The air conditioner was not very powerful and needed to be of greater capacity. Underground parking is $15 per night.

TERRIBLE STAY. I have stayed in Mantra Apartments before in NSW and Brisbane so my expectations of this Mantra in Wollongong was to be high and fair. The reception area smells and looks beautiful but the room I had paid for ( Superior Apartment ) wasn’t superior. I would actually love to know what their version of superior is because the room we had received was disgusting. The apartment was covered in thick dust. Walls throughout were dirty, huge hole in the lounge which appeared to be a rough patch job and the bathroom wasn’t that crash hot either. Prior to arrival I was asked if I required a king bed or two singles, I had asked for a king which wasn’t a problem. When we arrived we saw it was two singles pushed together. During my stay I did see a lot of housekeeping staff so it amazes me how the room was that filthy. You can literally hear everything going on in the hotel morning and night. The lift was also dodgy and had broken down one day. The first 2 nights there was heavy rains non stop, we had noticed that the carpet in the lounge room by the window ( the window was shut tight) was soaked. We are so disappointed, For a 4 night stay for $1100 I expected a clean apartment. Except all we received was severe hay fever that we couldn’t escape from. We also received 1 roll of toilet paper lol. I couldn’t even ring down to reception because of their short reception hours and went out to purchase my own. If you need/want a car space it’s an additional $15 per night which is ridiculous considering the price you pay to stay there. I highly recommend looking elsewhere if you want to stay in Wollongong.

My family & I stayed at the Mantra in Wollongong for 8 nights on a holiday. The apartment was spacious inside & also had a large balcony with a lovely view. We appreciated the fact that there was a washing machine & a dryer. The only thing I didn't like was the double bed mattress. It was very uncomfortable. I was waking up with a sore back & hips. I eventually decided to lay on top with a blanket over me. It was better when I did this. The room could do with a face lift in terms of paint. Overall, we had a great time & Will be back.

The apartment had a nice layout, however that’s about it. We stayed on the top level. The stench of dog poop was just too much. The apartment needed a deep clean to get rid of the stench. Overall, the place was not maintained very well or clean. Definitely will never stay at Mantra again.

I've stayed in many hotels for both pleasure and business and this would have to be the worst experience l've ever had. We booked 2 nights for our new years celebrations but needed to change rooms the second night which we booked in advance and the staff knew about it and will notify us when the room was available. We had one male staff member come into our room to check if we were still there without knocking just walking right in. Then when we were notified about our second room being available he asked how long we would take to change rooms. Then we ordered food from Menulog and it was delivered downstairs to reception. They failed to notify us. We rang reception numerous times and no answer it just rung out. I had to go downstairs to reception to ask if they had my food delivery which they did. When I asked why wasn't I notified she replied quite rudely saying we are very busy. Then our check out day we asked for a late checkout (prior to our booking) and also on the day as again a male staff member walked into our room to see when we are going to check out. We got told we will get charged a late $20 checkout fee only to realize we were charged twice for that. And in knowing that we have late check out the male staff member still continues to enter our room without knocking or waiting for a reply which my partner and I found really uncomfortable. I would never stay in this hotel ever again. And I will definitely not recommend it. The rooms all had spider webs and spider.
