The Mantra French Quarter Noosa is a great choice to stay. So well priced and great location too, close to the beach, cafes, restaurants and bars. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. We stayed in the south tower at the rear of the property which was super quiet. The room was a recently renovated 2 bedroom apartment with a spacious balcony and comfortable bed with 2 bathrooms and a kitchen. They have a large central pool area with 2 heated spas and heaps of sun lounges which was so relaxing. The vibe of this place is so tropical, we just loved the convenient access to everything. Thanks Mantra team for making our stay so fabulous.

Absolutely horrid apartment. I can deal with a slightly outdated style, but the black mould all over blinds and bedheads. No shower door. Dust over everything. Gunk around the cook top. Loud restaurant right under our room slamming doors and bins and talking until midnight. The adjoining room next door with a internal connecting door is not sound proff enough. Ants everywhere. Aircons take forever to actually start working. Tv in rooms is not even worth it. We spoke to reception in a diplomatic approach and they said they would try find us a room that is more comfortable and will call us asap. They never called. 540 a night for a hostel like room is disgusting. I understand not every room would be the same, but not even calling us back or providing a refund is not acceptable. Do not stay here!!

Rooms were filthy when we arrived. Floors covered in dirt, dust everywhere. Asked reception multiple times for it to be cleaned. In the end we had to go out and purchase cleaning gear and do it ourselves because they wouldn’t provide us with anything after asking for days in a row. Found tampons, pads, bandaids, used tooth picks and toothbrush etc under beds and sofa and scattered around the apartment. Room smelled of septic all the time. Had to clean all the fans and air con because they had dust hanging off them. Spider webs across hallway as if no one had been there for months. After we finally got house keeping to service the room (free of charge due to us complaining about it, even though it took us a few days of complaining and then acting as if it was the first time they had heard it, even though we dealt with the same person) they didn’t clean anything, didn’t replace all the towels and left us without toilet paper. Assistant manager told us we had been upgraded to a deluxe room apparently, but it didn’t show. Shower was in the bedroom which was bizarre. Never used it, just used the other bathroom instead. Beds were so uncomfortable- it put our backs and necks out. You can literally feel the springs through the old worn out mattresses. Pillows and sheets are awful and covered in suspicious stains. A lot of gecko droppings and other suspicious substances splattered all over the walls and furnishings. Fire alarm went off one night as a test and woke whole resort up and spent the rest of the night trying to get kids back to sleep again. Room had black mould in spots, causing kids to cough a lot at night. Door didn’t close or lock and after telling reception about it nothing was ever done. Balcony had weeds and plants growing on it and was full of slippery grime. Looked as if it had never once been touched by cleaners or maintenance. Chairs and sun lounges covered in bird droppings so we never used them. One evening after using the sauna I went to leave but could not exit the pool area. All gates were locked and would not open. I had to place chairs either side of the fence and help another person out of there before throwing chairs back over to ensure no children could climb in during the night. There were open holes in ceiling in foyer from water damage that were always leaking water onto the floor but never fixed while we were there. Many times we went to use the elevators (because we have a baby and small child in a pram) there were maintenance staff who were using them and so we would have to travel right around the resort to get to where we had to go. Very inconvenient. Sofa in the room was covered in sand. Bed bases were not connected and kept coming apart during the night. Did I mention how much dust there was on everything? (Seriously- they need better cleaners!!!!!) The self-closing bin drawer kept opening, so we had to keep emptying the rubbish to ensure the room didn’t smell. Overall, the entire place looks nice at a quick glance but it very old and tired. Besides all of that, the pool is great for kids and the location is very good, but would probably stay elsewhere in future. Very disappointing considering the money we paid to stay for a week. We loved Noosa but after this trip we would never stay at a Mantra ever again!

Great service and location. However the rooms do not match the price. Fridge was leaking water, carpet was torn up, couch was old and worn out, coffee table seen better days. The shower is literally next to bed. So strange! This was the deluxe room!

We were supposed to stay at Mantra French Quarter for 2 nights however after getting in late and quickly falling asleep on our first night, we awoke to our room filled with ants! All over the bed I was sleeping in and the one next to me, all through my clothes luggage and through the entire kitchen - after quickly trying to shake all the ants out of my entire suitcase we then packed up and went to reception to tell them we would like to check out a night early with either a refund of our second nights accommodation that we wouldn’t use or at least a resort credit - they denied both options stating they could either spray the room with pesticides or move us - I’m very sensitive to bug sprays/killers so we opted for the new room however after moving all our luggage, this new room had the same issue - it was like the ants came out of the walls as soon as anything was put down onto a bench or bed - disgusting! We didn’t unpack and instead tried to have reception find a solution with us but they only said they could spray while we were out for the day. Frustrating that they weren’t open to offering any other solution as having your hotel room sprayed with pesticides and then having to sleep in it seems ridiculous for the price you pay to stay on Hastings in Noosa. Won’t be going back and the hotel needs to sort their ant infestation.
