The rooms were very clean, most of the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Especially the male receptionist, he was extremely polite. The food was sensational!! The room would be good to have a rest or watch some TV if your flights were delayed or something, however, for the price, $350 for a very basic room, we were a little disappointed; when we had a shower, the entire bathroom flooded because there's no door or proper guard. This made the bathroom very slippery and we had to use up all our towels just for safety. The "kitchenette" isn't even a meter wide. You get 2x water glasses and 2x mugs. No plates or cutlery in the room. No microwave, only a tiny bar fridge that didn't fit much in it at all. This is not a suitable "vacation" hotel. REPLY TO OWNER: I love that your focus was on the kitchenette comment and not the safety issue. Definitely won't stay here again. Just so you're aware, these reviews are also for potential customers looking to stay here. I'm simply informing them what $350 a night gets you.

I was grateful to stay at the Mercure after my flight was cancelled last minute and the room was clean, comfortable and spacious. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the room service was 10 out of 10. I had a good night's sleep and enjoyed a fast check out experience and short walk to the airport to catch my morning flight.

Second time I have stayed. Whilst the location is good the food and facilities are poor. They gym have next to no equipment and what is in there is either damaged or out of use (treadmill and multigym). There is no shop to speak of, just a vending machine and whilst the bar and restaurant are are pleasant enough the food is not great. Both times I've had the steak it has not been good, the best option is the curry which is ok. Staff are pleasant enough and good parking, bathrooms are great though during both stays I have been woken up by random fire alarms or clattering in the catering are at the end of the corridor. I have cancelled my stay for this week and moved to a hotel in Newcastle even tough I now have a 40 minute drive to my destination for the week.

The room was clean and convenient, and the staff were kind and polite. However, dinner was awful and horrible. Also, please note that there is an additional charge of $15 per night for parking.

Two night stay for business. Ate dinner in the restaurant both nights - food was outstanding! Certainly the best food I have ever had at a Mercure restaurant. Despite being very close to the airport, there was no sound at all so the triple glazing in the rooms certainly worked.
