Great room, thank you - although I would suggest rooms could be furnished with a lot more character. Breakfast was pretty good, although unfortunately some items in buffet were barely lukewarm (daily) - also no small plates were ever available for toast / pastries, and confusion about what coffee was included. Overall though great location and nice pool, sauna, spa area.

Old rooms as others have mentioned. Comfortable beds, but not a 4 star anymore. I'd say this is a comfortable 3 star hotel. Water saver shower head with very little pressure, and a bath / shower combo... Don't usually see them in true 4 star hotels. Rooms are very dated, probably 20+ years old. Elevators are even older and very small. 32/day for parking, with no free off street options, so it's effectively an additional charge for the room, so consider this before booking. Overall, not worth the price you're charged... Food and bar area is well presented and food was excellent. Only 4 beers on tap, but drink options were ok. Service staff were great though.

Check in was a nightmare. I was attending a conference and a large number of conference delegates were staying at the Novotel. The check in procedures are painfully slow and old fashioned. Queued for at least 30 minutes and then had tonfill out a piece of paper. It must have been very stressful for the desk staff dealing with a large line of people who all wanted to get to their rooms. Getting out of the car park was also a nightmare. Had to separately see the car park attendant instead of being given an exit ticket after paying the account. The room was fine for what it was and very clean. But although mini bars seem to be a thing of the past, no bottled water was supplied, even for a fee. Had to go to the mini mart next door. Appreciate the Novotel is not 4 or 5 star, but they really need to update their check in and check out procedures for the sake of both customers and their staff.

The hotel itself is in a good location and has decent enough amenities. Main issue is that the sliding door of my room was very broken and hard to close securely, also the door handle on my room door was loose and not secure. The room itself was a very strange layout with the basin in the bedroom rather than the bathroom.

Nice location. Close proximity to most of the attractions. Great places to dine. Booked a suite and room size was decent. Room interior and fixtures are outdated and we felt the bathroom needs a renovation. Comparing the hotel prices during the long weekend, it was reasonably priced. Major downside is car parking. They charge extra for basement parking, yet cannot guarantee one when you return from a drive.
