Overall disappointing. Location of the hotel was good and the range of kitchen cookware provided could be useful. But apart from that, this hotel is far below what we'd expect from one rated 4 stars. The waiting area was small and lacked a bar or restaurant which we would've liked. Ground floor reception staff were generally friendly but needs to provide clearer responses to guests. Approximately an hour prior to arriving at the hotel, we called to enquire about getting an early check in. We were told we could do that anytime from 9am for a $100 fee. When we got to the hotel at 9am, we were then told we couldn't check in due to no rooms (why weren't we told this when we called earlier???). We left and returned half an hour later, and to our amazement, we were able to be checked in for a fee of $80 (why didn't the staff just told to come back and check again later? also, whilst the cheaper fee was nice, presumably it varies depending on what time the check in was, why not let guests know of this so they can make better informed decisions on if and when they request this service?). The cleanliness of the bed and balcony was not great and to make matters worse, our booking that advertises "limited housekeeping" doesn't actually provide ANY housekeeping. Housekeeping is only available if you ask and for additional fees. We had looked at a few hotels online and we regretted not choosing another one.

Disappointing. We had looked at a few hotels on line and wished we'd stayed elsewhere. We paid for a high floor studio with good views over the city. The hotel had a small waiting area on ground floor but not a conventional hotel with a sitting area and bar and restaurant which we would have preferred. It seemed it suited more long term guests. Despite the fact that we paid $1,100 for 4 nights there was no servicing of the room. I complained and was given 1 complimentary quick clean. Bathroom was small and had some mould and rust growing on the shower. There was a distinct mild old smell in the room and throughout the hotel despite it being a newish hotel. We won't be staying here again. Cleaning trolleys left in the hallway all day and night.

I think this was a perfect location for a short Melbourne stay. The only downside was a lack of nearby restaurants. (At least I found it hard to find a good one nearby). You really have to head into the city to find reasonable eateries and a supermarket for the basics. I was upgraded (for free!) to a room with a nice view over Flagstaff Gardens.

Had a very relaxing weekend. Checking in was welcoming by staff. My Room was clean and spacious. Awesome kitchen and beautiful balcony. Because I was on Flagstaff gardens side I could hear the bird's. I'm a bird lover so that was a relaxing bonus. Saturday I did have a migraine. But with some Panadol I was able to rest and recover in a very comfy bed. The only thing that could have been better. Is floors in the lift Foyer could have been much cleaner. Perhaps management could note it down as feedback. As overall I definitely recommend and would come back again

Reasonably priced accommodation! The place is clean and well maintained. The room is spacious and has a balcony! Ask for a room overlooking the Flagstaff Garden and the city. So beautiful both at daytime & nighttime. Close to restaurants :)
