2 months agoI recently had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. Upon arrival, we discovered that the bathroom door had been damaged by the previous guest. We took a photo of the damage and immediately notified the reception staff on our first day. The staff noted our room number and assured us that the maintenance team would be informed. Despite this, we were still charged for the damage when we checked out (5 days in total). We had to explain the situation to the staff all over again. To make matters worse, the management team then asked us to provide the photo as proof, even though we had reported the issue on the first day. This is an example of poor customer service and a waste of our time. Additionally, it became clear that the hotel has poor documentation skills, as there was no record of the room check from the previous guest and no record of our initial report, leading to this issue. When we explained that we had notified the reception staff on the first day, which they could verify, the management team mentioned that if we didn’t provide the photo, they would need to check with each staff member individually, a process that would take several days. It felt like the hotel didn’t want to deal with the trouble of properly addressing our complaint and concern. This entire experience has left us extremely dissatisfied.

2 months agoGood area to stay enjoyed the views but the room was smelling a bit funky and the shower pressure is not the best…. Sounded like it was having a hard time. Only 4 milk satchels probably could have done with more. It was clean and tidy accept still stains on the sheets… all in all it was a good stay but not probably could have been better.

3 weeks agowe went on February 16th to February 18th for the eras tour, when we walked in the staff asked if we were here for the eras tour, we said yes, and they gave us a friendship bracelet making kit for free. The room was beautiful, but the roof looked like a parking lot floor, but i wasn't bad it was actually kind of funny. five stars, lovely staff, wonderful experience!

2 months agoI recently stayed at Oaks on William Suites, Melbourne, and my experience was extremely disappointing. There were many minor issues, however I chose these 3 major problems. Housekeeping Issues: The housekeeping staff were incredibly loud and disruptive, constantly waking us up in the mornings. This made it impossible to enjoy a restful stay. Invasion of Privacy: To make matters worse, a staff member entered our room without permission while we were sleeping. This happened in the morning, and we were naked at the time. This blatant disregard for guest privacy is unacceptable. Lost Items: The worst part of our stay was that I left three expensive pieces of clothing hanging in the wardrobe. Despite numerous calls and emails over several weeks, the staff repeatedly claimed they couldn't find my belongings. This lack of accountability and poor customer service is very frustrating. Overall, I had a very unpleasant experience at Oaks on William Suites and would not recommend it to others.

4 months agoWe stayed here for a week and our room had a weird smell the whole time. The housekeeping is very inconsistent, we found a dirty rag on the floor one day, they kept forgetting to replace the small face cloths. The front desk staff weren’t really warm either. Location is amazing though, right next to Flagstaff Gardens and tram lines. Probably would opt for somewhere else nearby in the future.
