Oaks Melbourne on Market Hotel

Definitely worth the bucks, you can enjoy the morning/evening with the view of Yarra river and the whole riverside of Southbank, not to mention the crown, it gets crowded over the night without noises. Very quiet apartment, stayed on level 21. Gym and swimming pool was unfortunately on Basement without a view, but it is very well maintained. Breakfast always the same but very good; Sausage, bacon, baked beans, hash brown, mushrooms, toasts, and the continental breakfast set, a couple desserts available, optional paid coffees/juices and not forgot to mention all kinds of eggs cooked on request. Staffs were very friendly and helpful.

A group of us were in the City for an event and stayed at the Oaks on Market Hotel. A fantastic central location. The room I had on the 20th floor was large and very comfortable, albeit with some quirks. The bed was great to sleep in, probably better than my own. There was a kitchenette, large ensuite with a bath complete with a ‘rain’ shower head. The huge widows in the living area offered fantastic views over this part of the City, especially at night. Didn’t spend a lot of time in the room or building, nor did we have any meals here however we all would return. We also found the concierge staff friendly, professional and efficient. Well done to the team.

My stay here has been great so far! Reception staff are so kind and friendly, their customer service is exceptional. The location is perfect - walking distance to many tram and train stations, and plenty of food options that are also walking distance! Rooms are clean and the kitchenette has everything that I need. Bed and pillows are also very comfortable!

Not good. I cannot understand how this is a 4 star hotel. Breakfast is very basic. Each morning they ran out of plates for customers to use the buffet. The shower has very low water pressure and always dripping. The taps were a nightmare to figure out. Like solving some sort of puzzle. Our TV was faulty each day and needed assistance from staff to make it functional. Dinner in the restaurant ($40 meal) looked and tasted like a microwave meal. Staff are pleasant and capable.

Just superb. Such friendly conceirge. Spacious rooms and bed was so comfortable. Had a great sized desk for me to work and could order room service. Kitchen was spacious and clean. Mugs I absolutely loved. Most motels have tiny cups but had mugs which I need.
