2 months agoHighlights: The staff were lovely during my stay! Very friendly front desk. The location is great and on site parking is available. Lovely view from the balcony and quieter than I expected. Beds/pillows were relatively comfortable. Cupboards and mirrors in each room. Spacious bathroom and comfortable living area. Lowlights: I stayed in room 610 on level 6 (if I remember correctly.) the ventilator in the main bathroom is hanging on for life. Will likely fall out soon. The table had mould underneath the glass top. The dryer is ridiculously loud. Most of the internal doors couldn’t be locked. I felt like it was very poor value for money. The restaurant/bar downstairs needs to update its opening times as the info on the outside of the building is not correct.

4 months agoSadly, the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Wi-Fi did not work on level 7 in my room, and the staff couldn't get it going either. The facilities are some of the worst I've seen. The gym was tiny and of the two treadmills in it, one was out of order. All the public areas smelt like cigarettes. The noise here at night is horrid, and you can hear everything from people coming and going to cars driving past. After speaking to locals in Mackay it turns out level 7 & 8 of this hotel is known for partying and other things. At almost $200 per night it is absolutely not worth it.

5 months agoThe hotel itself is nice, but the rooms where not that good, especially when you are laying $200+ a night. Two of the rooms we booked, both had the bed, closer to the door, springs broken, this is likely the mattress being super old, and it's hurt my back. Switched the other side the bed to sleep, likely as that the one where people sleep the least on. Otherwise, the front desk staff are friendly and easy to find parking, and free parking in the hotel.

6 months agoMost staff were friendly and helpful. The room was nice. All the cleaning staff said hello every time in passing. It's the 1st time that has happened anywhere. It always makes the stay better when you feel welcome. Definitely will be back.
