Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort

Lovely property, great staff in the main. Les in the Bistro particularly worthy of a mention and Claudia from the guest service team was particularly helpful. We stayed in the Elysia area and the rooms are big and have fantastic views. Spa is good, unfortunately we couldn't get a treatment but the steam and pools were great.

We booked there for a long weekend. When we arrived, we got welcomed by a very lovely and welcoming team member (SKY) who greeted us with a beautiful smile on her face. She explained everything to us in a detailed way. We drove to the other place where we got the room key from. Staff were so lovely and helpful. The room was not far from reception and with plenty of parking. The view was amazing 360°. We got a bottle of wine and a box of chocolate as a welcoming gift because it was our anniversary. The room was so nice, tidy, clean, and a nice bathroom. The hot water is good with good water pressure. Don't worry about the wifi, it didn't work properly. We didn't need it since we were out most of the time, and we went back to the room to sleep or change. Everything was around the 10 minutes drive from the hotel, which is very convenient. There is a spa and wellness centre, but we didn't get a chance to go there. I highly recommend this place. If I'm going to do this again, I would book with them again. We stayed in a two bedroom villa. The room has a very cost feel. I loved how they have kept so much “Australian bush” around the villas. Due to that, the views from the balcony were very peaceful with all the Eucalyptus trees and birds flying around. We even had a few Magpies join us on the balcony. Due to the resort being so big, I highly recommend you have your own car, as you have to drive to everything such as reception, the pool and even nearby restaurants and wineries.

Room was amazing but dated, lounge was small even for two people. Recommend replace lounge, remove table and chairs, fit up a breakfast bar and stools. Outdoor patio fit out to protect outdoor area with roofing, rained the evening and morning area was unusable, BBQ supplied no access, overnight good weather fantastic, several days bad weather not so. Facilities highly recommend using, pool area in summer would be an asset, bar amenities 4 star plus, staff I cannot express how highly motivated a group of people to ensure your pleased and assist you at all times, they are an asset to oaks and themselves, very well done. Very disappointed with my stay at Cypress Lakes resort. Although the accommodation was lovely, there was an animal living in the roof which tripped the power multiple times. Despite telling the staff and them advising it had been removed, it had not and I continued to be woken up at early hours by this creature. Originally the staff were going to let us move rooms, and I wish they had. The wait times and the quality of the food at the restaurant is not great. It’s also clear they are severely understaffed. I was hoping this could have been a much nicer stay.
