a week agoMy husband and I enjoyed a lovely weekend away at the Oaks. The service and location was great, my only issue was the bed. If you prefer a soft bed you will find the beds not so comfortable. I'm pregnant and found the firm mattress really uncomfortable and didn't sleep well, however, the service staff were helpful in providing a spare doonah to use as a pillow topper to help soften the mattress. Looking through the last reviews now it seems to be a common problem & hope the Oaks put some nice toppers on for future guests.

a month agoWe were here with family about a year ago. The rooms were great, clean and tidy. Staff seemed pretty friendly but the pool. Awesome big pool which the kids loved. The only issue we had was that the chlorine level was out of this world. Our son was in there for half an hour and had to get out because the smell was causing his asthma to play up. The next day, most of our black swim cloths had turned brown from the chlorine.

a month agoI recently had the pleasure of staying in a studio hotel room here, over a weekend and I must say, I am very impressed with the experience. Just to note, less than 5 minutes from the beach also, and a shopping centre nearby. From the moment I stepped through the door it was obviously well kept and clean, with modern styling. The receptionists were helpful and took the time to look into getting us a late stay, which was great. Following this, we stepped into the studio apartment into, it was similarly modern and stylish design that immediately made me feel on holiday, having all the amenities we needed - including a washer/dryer and fridge, as well as cook top - so effectively a kitchen really. The room was impeccably clean. Great attention to detail. and it contributed significantly to my overall comfort during my stay. It was beautifully presented, with the balcony looking over the pool. My only complaint was the bed, which I think was two singles made together, and that's usually fine, but the wheels on the base were not lockable and so any time I got on the bed it would move across the room. Which, was noticeable on my weekend and rather annoying. But it was otherwise comfortable. There were large windows, letting in plenty of light, but appropriately covered with privacy curtains. As you can see in my photos. The view overlooked the pool and restaurant. Which, can get a little noisy but by 9PM there were no issues there. Overall, my stay at Santai Oaks Casuarina exceeded my expectations. The combination of modern comfort, exceptional cleanliness, and thoughtful design made it a memorable experience. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a top-quality stay in Casuarina, or down this end of the GC.

2 months agoManagement.. should go through all of the rooms to check on the little things such as the location of your bedside power points to charge your phone or operate a vital medical apparatus like a CPAP sleep machine?!? I had to get on my hands and knees amongst the uncleaned places that cleaner has missed and slide under behind the king size bed and reach through a child size opening to feel for the power outlet. There was no accessible outlet on either side of the bed. The nearest outlet was by the couch metres away which was no good to us. Surely no customers want to start their holiday on the back foot like this.. cmon man. Things like this really err your business with the finer points of detail. Don't take room 231 folks unless you bring your own extension cord and knee pads 3 out of 5 stars for us - might stay next time, but will grill your reception about this.. P.S - Don't overpower your inroom scent fragrance (vanilla/coconut) not everyone desires this as it can trigger people/customers.

4 months agoA beautiful resort with an amazing room. We had the studio room overlooking the gorgeous pool. Had everything we needed. Felt like we were in Bali again.A very luxurious resort for a relaxing break. Not far from beach and shops with Kingscliff just up the road. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We will definitely be back to be spoilt again!
