Oaks Brisbane on Charlotte Suites

We stayed here for twelve weeks. The carpark underneath was such a bonus, it made it so easy to go in and out, carrying shopping to and from was great. The lobby is nice and clean, the reception staff were helpful and you could ask for bits you needed like bin bags etc. There are lockers for parcels too. The rooms were very well equipped, big fridge and freezer, hob, oven, all the tools you need. The bed and pillows were excellent, I have stayed in many hotels and I must say the bed was very comfortable and the pillows were king-size and excellent, I always had a brilliant night's sleep. The BBQ area was nice, with facilities to cook, sit and eat. The pool was under construction when I was there so I can't comment on that. The only let down in this hotel was that it wasn't as clean as I'd like it to have been. There is a lot of build up around the showers, they need a good bleaching. The air filters in the rooms were pretty horrid, it was all a bit dusty, you could definitely see where the cleaners constantly miss. The washing machine is very old fashioned, it did an awful job of washing our clothes, they kept coming out with white bits on them. It definitely all needs a lick of paint and freshening up. The lifts were also VERY slow, sometimes you could be waiting over five minutes to get in one.

Really great apartment with excellent facilities. The apartment was clean, modern and well equipped. The staff were helpful and the location really good for central Brisbane activities. If you want somewhere you can cook and relax with all the facilities then this would be a good option. The apartment had a nice balcony, so the added bonus of having some outside space. I would stay here again I’d say it is better not to have a car as the parking was fairly expensive.

Hotel located in prime location of the CBD, with walking distance to restaurants, businesses and a short walk to the river bank. Was given a choice to whether go green (opt out for room service and only topping up supplies as needed), which I gladly accepted as I come prepared with my own supplies. Was doing this voluntarily but the hotel rewarded me with coffee vouchers. Overall great experience and very happy with what they have to offer.

The room was older but well appointed. The bed was very firm, and not as comfortable as other hotels. The sofa was tiny for a hotel room booked for 4 people. Service was overall friendly, and good with kids. We weren’t told that the pool was closed, and this was a big disappointment for a family trip. The location was perfect for walking along the river, but lots of construction noise. The cost for parking a car was $39 a day on top of your hotel costs, which seemed absolutely unreasonable.

Perfect location for exploring the city and connecting to beyond. The room needed some minor TLC for maintenance but was very tidy and clean with a reasonable view. Staff are excellent. I will stay here again next time I'm in town.
