8 months agoRented an apartment here and have had nothing but negative experiences, unfortunately. It has taken forever for them to fix anything from the 2022 floods. The carpet is still not complete in some areas, and the elevators won't be fixed until 2024. Also, if you have a package that is being delivered, they don't accept them at the reception anymore. This means you will be hiking your way to the post office to pick up all your packages. Would not rent here again.

11 months ago🚨Apartment buyers beware 🚨 Flooded in 2011 and again worse in 2022. In 2022 this block flooded a good 40cm on the first floor which means so did the car park and electrical infrastructure (kept two levels below ground, which makes it extremely flood prone). What is also a red flag is that it took 3 weeks after the flood event for body corporate to turn on a pump to remove water from basement. 5 weeks just to get the power back on. Lifts are anticipated to be reinstalled May or later which will be a full 15 months after the flood event. The body corporate is no doubt a nightmare and it seems little gets done efficiently. Every time it floods to the car park level, expect astronomical body corporate fees to replace electrical infrastructure and lifts for every building. Hotel reception staff are good though.

2 years agoWe stayed here for 11 days and would not recommend for long stays. Although staff were nice, the apartment had the last guests soap still on the rack and wasn’t the cleanest. The aircon in the bedroom didn’t work, and although we reported this, all they did was send up housekeeping to tell us it is a small vent and to give it time... well we left it on for 11 days on the coldest temperature and it didn’t work.. Housekeeping also decided what they wanted to do on their daily visits and not according to the schedule we were provided. The parking is very limited and you will struggle to find a spot marked for hotel. I am heavily pregnant and we often had to park way at the back away from our elevator, so it’s almost more convenient to park in visitors. The hallways aren’t air conditioned and have a really funky smell to the place. Otherwise, the pool is nice, and the location is great. But there is no storage or anywhere to put clothing really, so would only recommend for very short stays.

2 years agoThe layout of the apartments is great. Has just about everything you need. Cleanliness was rather lax. We had two different apartments during our stay and one was absolutely filthy dirty. Had the cleaners come in, still missed heaps and had to get them back again. Air conditioner didn't work either. Had a maintenance man come check it out but, still didn't work after he left. In the 2nd apartment, I had to keep the bathroom door closed as the smell from the drain was unpleasant at best. The hallways also smell funky and something should be done to allow air flow through them. The reception staff are very friendly and try their best to help.

a year agoThe staff at the hotel itself are lovely - this review is to warn anyone thinking of renting (or buying) at the Bowen Hills location. It is in a flood zone and has flooded several times in the past, most recently in February 2022. Power & hot water was off from the end of Feb to mid April. Elevators are out of commission for *at least the next 6 months*. Car park is closed for most likely 4 months. There are no working amenities for the forseable future (except the pond which at least is nice to look at). Major repair works going on all over the complex. Many real estate companies are not lisitng this info on their ads and/or are not lowering rent due to the damage caused by the flooding. Beware of any unit on the 1st/Ground floor as it was *not required* for owners to have the parts of the walls removed to prevent mould.
