6 months agoMy partner and I paid for an apartment for 2 nights and it was such a beautiful design, OAKS always has the best hotel rooms/apartments. We made so many wonderful memories while staying in Brisbane. My only issue with this place was the air-conditioning, the airflow in the living room was fine, however the air-flow in the bedroom was honestly terrible. We had to sleep with a thin cover because it got quite hot, thats why im giving it 4-stars. We tried to adjust the vent as best as we could and even lowered the temperature down to the lowest setting to no avail. Aside from that, we had a kitchen which was helpful and the balcony was so nice, the view of the street was great because it wasnt super busy, which meant we got good sleep. Would I ever come back? Absolutely, I would just make sure to come during winter or in the middle of the year where its cooler, and avoid coming in summer or in the hotter times of the year.

10 months agoThe suite was large and had a nice balcony but those are the only positives. The bathroom was mouldy and one of the towels had a large stain on it. There is also absolutely no soundproofing so if you like a sleep in, you won’t enjoy hearing the alarm that goes off in the car park below the hotel every time someone exits or the church bells that chime at 6am every morning. The aircon throughout the building is absolutely awful.

10 months agoVery disappointed… $350 a night for 2 night. $40 a night for parking. First room had a mouldy shower, second room had leaking kitchen taps, someone’s wallet jammed in a cushion, off curdled milk supplied. Aircon that has a mind of its own, reception staff that must be trained with generic responses. Not one bit of a discount offered, if you’re into giving money away for no reason this is the place to come. For a strict non smoking policy all I could smell each time I went on the balcony was cigarette and marijuana smoke. Please read reviews before booking here. 100% not worth the money, plenty of actual nice places for less. Now waiting for the copy/paste reply from the manager.

11 months agoThe room was ok but the shower was full of mould and hair left over from previous visitors. The mould was also reported in my friends room too so this isn’t a once-off experience. The air conditioner isn’t very good either, the room never gets cold enough.

a year agoThe room wasn’t clean, the air con stopped working, the hotel blocked streaming services (Netflix). The dishwasher had not been cleaned in what looked like weeks, there was food left in the filter and a white sludge in the corners of it. Door handles were broken, stains all over the blankets, the air vents in the bathroom were covered in thick dust, there was hair in the bedside table draws. We told staff about this and all we got was “sorry you didn’t enjoy your stay” nothing else at all! The only good thing about this place was that it was centrally located to the venues I had to attend over the weekend. I wouldn’t recommend staying here not worth the money!
