I had the pleasure of staying at this property for a business trip, spanning approximately a week. I found the accommodation to be exceptionally pleasant, boasting spacious interiors and maintaining an impeccable level of cleanliness. The suite was fully equipped with all the essentials one could need for a comfortable stay, including a well-appointed kitchen, laundry facilities, and a refrigerator. However, the highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the location. Situated at the heart of the city center, the property offers unparalleled convenience, providing easy access to various points of interest throughout the city. This feature alone significantly enhanced my overall experience, making it an ideal choice for travelers seeking both comfort and convenience.

Business trip, trying different hotels than usual. The staff were wonderful and helpful and the location is great. The 4/5 comes from the room which was very clean and a well fitted out apartment, but smelt very musty even with all the windows open and also smelt as though there had been smokers in it. My friend’s room was a nicer with no smoke and very little musty smell. The outer corridor air fresheners were a bathroom like scent and didn’t help the musty smell. The lap pool and bbq area was busy but pleasant.

I had an outstanding stay at this hotel! The location is unbeatable, right next to Queens Street Mall. The tall building offers breathtaking views, especially from the upper floors. The suites are a true delight, featuring open balconies that provide a perfect spot to soak in the city vibes. The amenities offered are top-notch, enhancing the overall experience. From the well-designed rooms to the fantastic views and thoughtful amenities, this hotel is a gem in the heart of the city. Highly recommend for a memorable and comfortable stay.

I haven’t stayed at an oaks hotel for a while and this will certainly be my last time. On arrival I went to my room, the corridor smells like food, the room smells like mold, and there was a loud party happening on my floor. I complained to staff and they said they told the people to be quieter but at 8pm they don’t have a noise curfew that early. I asked to be moved to a different floor. They said there was none of my bedding configuration available (2 singles) and only queen/king beds. As we were 2 colleagues we needed two separate beds. I then had to pay an extra $80 per night to move to a two bedroom. All this just to have a peaceful trip. As I had to work early the next day I needed to sleep early. Even if I had been on holiday you should be able to have a quiet peaceful stay! This shouldn’t come at further additional cost to me. Finally the room was ok, but then there was construction happening all night both nights we were there and I had a terrible interrupted sleep and had to buy earphones to get any sleep. Waste of money paying for the upgrade for a quiet night….On the last morning we stayed there an alarm went off on our floor and we had to evacuate the building. The whole experience was terrible and I highly recommend booking anywhere where else at that same price point, it will be better value!

Staff are atrocious, barely look at you, just flat out tell you they can't help you, and certainly do not represent what a 2 star hotel should be, let alone a supposed 4 star. I have had three guests to the building in as many days, and each of them were treated appallingly. I would not recommend this as a place to live, stay or visit. I'd say I'm disappointed however after 12 months my expectations of the staff behaviour is pretty low. PS: the whole building has serious mould issues, don't stay here if you care about your respiratory health at all.
