the staff was friendly and welcoming; the hotel itself is quite old. However, it's kept clean and tidy. We were able to sleep pretty good, but were once awoken by the sound of someone taking a shower, as the noise from the pipes was very loud! The breakfast offered was very basic , can’t recommend it. On a practical note, the hotel provides laundry facilities, but they only accept coins and not card payments.

I had another absolutely wonderful stay at Ibis Therry St Hotel! I don't stay that often but when I do it always exceeds my expectations. The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making the check-in process seamless. The room was modern, comfortable, and impeccably clean, offering a cozy retreat after a day of exploring the city. The hotel's central location made it convenient to access various attractions and restaurants nearby. Additionally, the amenities provided were top-notch, and the overall atmosphere was inviting. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Melbourne CBD.

Had a one night stay during the middle of the week and found the venue to be in a great location (just near Chinatown) and the room was very clean and tidy. Being a solo traveller, I had no issues with space or luggage storage. The shower was great, the TV worked well and the venue was very quiet. It's an older venue and my room could use an update but for budget travellers like myself, i would definitely use it again. The staff at check in were also wonderful and the room had a nice little bar fridge.

It is a very dingy entrance to this hotel, from the outside one would think it is closed. Staff are friendly, but upon our arrival they had problems booking us in. The hallway to our rooms looked grotty, carpets are unclean and stained. Our 2 bedroom apartment had a pleasant view onto the main streets, the second bedroom a view into alley or car park. The couches in the living area were so grotty that we were uncomfortable sitting on them. They were dirty and stained. There was dishwashing liquid and a chux cloth in the kitchen, not one tea towel. There is no stove and no dishwasher. The beds, sheets and pillows are excellent in this apartment. Like sleeping on a cloud. We were very happy with these. The walls must be very thin, because you can hear every word spoken from one bedroom through to the other. No privacy there. Shower was good. For our 2 night stay we were not given fresh towels when housekeeping made up our room after night 1. We had booked inclusive of buffet breakfast for the 3 of us. This is at $28 per person. On our 1st morning we went to have breakfast and it was very very poor. The scrambled eggs were disgustingly runny, bacon cold, croissants cold and nothing to put on them except for jam in a bowl which was so gross as it had been used many times. There was toast you could make, coffee and juice, cut up fruit and 2x cereal. Not worthy of the name of 'buffet'. When we wanted to sit at a table where previous people had sat, I asked could they please clean up table and remove dishes there, and they asked us to find a table with no dishes on it. They did not clear the dishes. Total fail for breakfast! Wouldn't come here again.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Ibis Hotel in Melbourne, and my experience was nothing short of exceptional. The standout feature of this establishment is undoubtedly their commendable customer service. The staff were incredibly sweet and kind, going out of their way to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The rooms at the Ibis Hotel are a true gem. They are incredibly spacious and give off a homely, comfortable vibe. The inclusion of a kitchen, refrigerator, utensils, and dishes made it feel like a true home away from home. This feature is a boon for travelers who prefer the convenience of self-catering during their stay. I must also commend their flexibility and understanding. I accidentally booked an extra day, and they were more than accommodating in canceling the booking and refunding it, even though I had made the reservation through Agoda. Their willingness to rectify such mistakes with ease speaks volumes about their commitment to customer satisfaction. The hotel's location is another feather in its cap. Situated near Victoria Market, guests have easy access to an array of shopping and dining options. The surrounding area is teeming with life, creating a lively and friendly atmosphere that adds to the overall charm of the hotel. Happy vacation fellows Peace ✌️
