Our stay in the Sofitel was good overall. The check-in staff who greeted us on arrival were very helpful and welcoming. Our room was very clean and comfortable, the bed was incredible! One of the best i've ever slept in. However, the noise from the city streets outside was very audible and continued late into the night, so I suspect the windows aren't really soundproofed. The only let downs were the pool and the breakfast buffet. The pool was quite small for a hotel with over 200 rooms and was packed full of guests when we tried to visit, and as a result there was no room in the pool for us. We noticed there was a 'sauna' available so we tried to go to the sauna. The saunas were inside the individual gendered change rooms, so my partner and I were unable to go to the sauna together. We ended up just going back to our room and watching TV. On the morning of our check-out, we waited in line to be seated at a table for breakfast for 20 minutes. Once we were seated, we waited another 15 minutes in the line for cooked eggs. There was only one chef cooking eggs, and a full restaurant with another 20 or so people lined up and waiting to get in. This wouldn't have been so bad had we not been charged an extra $35 per person for the breakfast buffet. There was also no butter for toast... again, not so much of an issue if you aren't paying an extra $70 on top of your $400 a night room... Having said that, there were positives: clean comfortable room, fantastic bed, beautiful clean and modern bathrooms with luxurious amenities, great location in the city close to everything you need.

A fantastic hotel. Staff were helpful friendly and welcoming. Room was new clean and serviced regularly. Usual great Sofitel bed and pillows. Restaurant was excellent, with a great menu and wine list.Lounge was first class and thoroughly enjoyable. The egg station outdid themselves. All in all a five star stay

The rooms were exquisite. There was a soft comfy bed and spacious accommodations. The staff was lovely. We had paid for breakfast, but were unable to use their dining facilities because of our early tours. The staff graciously provided box breakfast to take with us. The location was great for getting around the city. Our stay was a bit tainted by the loud music from the disco across the street. We were on the 21st floor and our room shook all night making it difficult to fall asleep. I know this is not the fault of the hotel, however I would probably not stay in this location again. Our room was almost $400 a night and for that price I expect at the very least a good nights sleep.

From the get-go, we were greeted with such warmth and style that I knew we were in for something special. Checking in was a breeze, and as we stepped into our room earlier than check-in time, we were met with breathtaking views and décor that whispered luxury. But what really stole the show for me was the service. Seriously, these folks know how to treat their guests like royalty. Whether it was offering tips on local transport or kindly re-filling our empty water bottle on our way after checking out on a hot day, a nice gesture we didn't even ask for it! All in all, my time at Sofitel Adelaide was pure bliss. It's the kind of place that effortlessly blends class and comfort, making you feel right at home while still indulging in a bit of luxury. If you're looking for an elegant escape in Adelaide, look no further than Sofitel. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

We had breakfast here for a friend's birthday & we couldn't be happier with the service & the food. Wonderful selection of delicious food. Nothing was too much trouble & dietary requirements were handled seamlessly. The restaurant is beautifully decorated & has a charmingly luxurious feel. Every member of staff was helpful & courteous. We highly recommend this venue for a decadent breakfast.
