Absolutely fantastic! I admit, was a little scared when I read the reviews after booking BUT above and beyond my expectations exceeded, our check in was a little bit late but they have given us an extended check out. Best location, gorgeous family apartment, modern kitchen, styled beautiful and the best view on the coast!

We visited for a family holiday. The rooms are spacious, but the room is a little dated and tired, e.g. marked walls, and no smart TV. Very expensive internet if you exceed the allocated 7GB ( I thought that it was strange that the wifi was limited to a maximum of three devices per unit). However, the room was well supplied with cutlery, utensils, and small appliances, except no pod coffee machine (though the latter was overcome by a short walk for a decent (but expensive takeaway) coffee; though avoid the cafes at the beachside entrance to the hotel - worst coffee). While clean, more effort to clean those less obvious spots ( a look under the lounge room furniture was quite dirty, with dust and rubbish (e.g. empty beer cans from previous guests)). Great staff, flexible and very responsive. Perfect location. Despite the superficial noted detractions, we were very happy with the stay and would return again in the future. Accor members note that no bar/lounge exists, so the traditional member benefits are not available at this premises.

Overall it was a nice stay but there is no complimentary wifi (you have to a ridiculous amount), the room wasn’t very clean and it’s very outdated for the cost of the place, the lift was being serviced for days in a busy period which meant there were lines to get up to our room. I personally wouldn’t stay here again.

Mantra Zanzibar has superb location. As part of the Mantra group it is reasonably well run though individual rooms of the same type and standard vary and they still allow smoking on the balconies Some of the rooms lack enough of the basic cooking and eating utensils. One room we had didn’t have a cutting board and had only one small saucepan. The other had everything including games and jigsaw puzzles. The biggest turn off is that they allow smoking on the balcony and the hazard of used smoke is ignored by the hotel. For 3 of the days we didn’t have decent access to our balcony and outdoor area as the neighbours insisted on smoking. Queensland legislation is on the body Corporate side but they choose to allow smoking still. I expect better of the Mantra group.
