Bookers beware !! We recently booked to stay at this apartment Mantra Wings which is managed by a third party - Q Stay in Sept 24 for a week. Group of 6 (3 adults, 3 kids). The apartment size itself was perfect for this size group, and the pool & onsite facilities such as gym, tennis court, bbq area that are NOT managed by Q Stay are fantastic however that’s where the positives stopped. We had asked for an early check in which we were more than happy to pay extra for, and received a text message advising that we could check in at 2pm (an hour earlier). We made the trip to the office to go and collect keys since it’s not located at the apartment building only to get there and be told that we couldn’t check in because something had come up with another guest and they were still waiting on keys to be returned. No phone call, no text message prior so we wasted our time. Not to mention the staff at the front office who couldn’t care less about it and were totally dismissive & rude. When we finally were able to get keys and checkin what we discovered inside the apartment left us in shock. The pictures really are deceiving, the place was filthy, dusty, kitchen cupboards grimey, dishes dirty, toilet had been used and not cleaned and a horrible smell that was coming from the bathroom and kitchen. We had already been grocery shopping to stock up for a weeks stay, when we discovered that the fridge didn’t seem to be cold. The freezer was working fine, but the fridge was not working and barely cold. The ceiling fan in 2 out of the 3 bedrooms were not working also. We called Q stay office right away to tell them about the fridge, the ceiling fans and how disgusting the place was. Again, not helpful, staff didn’t care at all, had a really bad attitude and basically said it’s a Sunday can’t do anything about it until Monday. So we spent the first night pretty uncomfortable with no fans in very hot rooms and a broken fridge. The cleaners came back to wipe a mark off the curtain, that’s it. Didn’t clean anything else. The Monday came around, and we spent the first half of our day waiting around the apartment because the office staff couldn’t be bothered calling or sending a message to advise that they had organised a maintenance person to come and that we didn’t need to be there. They ended up replacing the broken fridge, and sorting out 1 ceiling fan. The other ceiling fan remained broken and unusable for the entire stay. We discovered mould in the kitchen sink pipe that can been seen with a torch, and realised this is why we had little flea type bugs flying around the kitchen sink most of the time. All the exhaust fans in bathrooms and laundry caked with dust, and the light fittings also dirty with all dead bugs inside of them. The coffee, tea, sugar that is left for a guest to use - I wouldn’t feed it to my dog!! Old & stale the sugar sachets were so old that could you shake it upside down as much as you want, you were not getting any sugar out of it as it was all rock hard. We all ended up pretty sick by day 4, lots of sneezing, wheezing etc and this was due to the dust so if you have allergies this place will definitely not help. Location was not good either, no shops close by in walking distance, not even a coffee shop !! You had to take transport into Cavill avenue if you wanted to get food or use Uber eats. We asked for a partial refund from Q stay, as what we paid for this stay, was certainly not worth it. Of course, we were met with refusal right away. So we took the issue up with Airbnb support who were absolutely fantastic from the get go. Overall, very disappointed with this place, especially Q-Stay staff. Zero customer service, not sure who was worse, Chloe or Jess.. both very unprofessional, rude, and have terrible attitudes.

I wouldn’t even rate this hotel. Beware it is a scam and the hotel will say that it’s “a third party property manager” but if they cannot regulate this than it’s not worth the hassle for customers. I arrived at 1pm as discussed and did not receive keys until 5pm. I was left in the dark most of this time waiting around for the keys. Then once I got to the hotel, the room was filthy. No toilet paper, beds slept in, toilet wouldn’t flush, bathroom kept locking people in. It was unsanitary. So then the cleaners came at 5pm and took about 1 and a half hours to clean this and we weren’t allowed into the property for this time either. Waste of money. Was promised a refund which hasn’t been done & the $250 bond is a scam. They aren’t meant to take it. I will tell everyone I know not to stay here

Nice room with great view. We stayed in an Airbnb apartment in this building and liked it. Had various issues regarding air conditioning and things broken when we arrived but other than that was a really nice apartment. Pool and spa were great. I was very annoyed by the fact that it is posted everywhere regarding the booking of the tennis court should be done at the reception, but in the 6 days we were there, the reception was open once. So couldn’t use the courts. Other than that great location, 3 minute walk to beach

The premises and our room was clean. Great pool (heated), gym and sauna. Located between Broadbeach and Surfers, it was close enough to easily walk (1 to 2km) but far enough away from the noise. A tram operates just outside the premises. The only issue was that there was only one air-conditioner situated in the lounge area. The air-conditioner struggled to cool down the lounge room and certainly did not cool the rooms. This made for some warm sweaty nights. Regardless we had a good stay.

The apartment is not clean. Windows shake when it's windy. The pool and views are good. Location is excellent. Staff need to be trained to be more friendly.
