a week agoLarge room. Adequate bed. Fantastic water pressure in the shower. Showing some signs of aging and needing maintenance. I recommend paying the extra for the harbour view room. Too close to the nightlife on the city view side - quit noisy into the early hours of the morning.

a month agoThis Mantra is unsuitable for seniors. Receptionists were cold and not welcoming. I had lost my credit card and cash was flatly refused regardless of it being legal tender. We are in our eighties and not likely to trash a room. I was told to search my infirm husband’s and my suitcases. I was not capable or prepared to do that. Finally, I became upset and a kind stranger came to my rescue. Eventually the manager was contacted and cash bond was accepted. The room was large, sparsely furnished and had a deep bathtub/shower that we were unable to use. This was the end of our last possible cruise together which was bittersweet but wonderful. We have travelled extensively, my Darwin Mantra experience is at the bottom of the list for Australian accommodation

2 months agoStayed for 5 nights last week. Check in was smooth and easy, one bedroom accom was excellent, staff were always friendly and greeted me. The view couldn't have been better. All the facilities I required were in the room. Everything was walking distance that was needed. It was a much needed break!

2 months agoMantra on the Esplanade provides excellent accommodation with stunning waterfront views. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the staff is very welcoming and helpful. Ideal for both business and leisure stays.

4 months agoGood location: the Esplanade walk is great in both morning and evening, there are restaurants / bars / cafés/ supermarkets nearby, it's a pick up location for some tourist tours. The room was spacious and clean. We stayed 3 nights. The only issue was to get coffee/tea refills and cleaning... I asked the front desk staff, but the cleaning was never done. When we reached back the last evening, the evening staff was still there and helped to get tea/coffee and fresh towels. Good tea brand provided (Dilmah). We could benefit from self check in as we reached late as they have lockbox for the night (we just had to properly check in the next morning). Overall satisfied!
