I stayed at the mantra on a work trip, here's a breakdown of my stay: Pros: - Such lovely staff! Very helpful and attentive. - All the spaces were very clean! - Good access to restaurants (very good indian directly behind!) - Excellent shower pressure :0 Room for improvement: - Rooms are definitely a little old (though I appreciate that they maintain them well.) - My room wasn't very well lit, - You need two different key cards for accessing the lifts/carpark and your room. Not the most convenient especially if you're trying to carry a bunch of stuff. ^^ Overall really enjoyed it! And it was well priced compared to nearby locations!

Hotels idea of "cleanliness" is different to our expectations ... and customer service very lacking.... Comfy bed if you can look past the grotty and blood stained sheets... (and yes asked the room to cleaned and new sheets were worse...) Shower over bath - not ideal for elderly guests.... Window very dirty but had great view through the clean circular previous occupants must have done to take nice photos! Wouldn't book again...Disappointing

Good location: the Esplanade walk is great in both morning and evening, there are restaurants / bars / cafés/ supermarkets nearby, it's a pick up location for some tourist tours. The room was spacious and clean. We stayed 3 nights. The only issue was to get coffee/tea refills and cleaning... I asked the front desk staff, but the cleaning was never done. When we reached back the last evening, the evening staff was still there and helped to get tea/coffee and fresh towels. Good tea brand provided (Dilmah). We could benefit from self check in as we reached late as they have lockbox for the night (we just had to properly check in the next morning). Overall satisfied!

Not the best hotel when you have so many nicer options right next door/down the road. They offered no room service for clean towels/rubbish, you had to PAY for underground parking an extra $19 a day, the lady at the counter in the apartment section was downright rude, the windows are filthy so you can’t even take a nice picture of the views that you’re paying for, and it’s very outdated. I wouldn’t go there again.

Everything about the actual hotel is good, except some rooms cop full noise from shenanigans and the back packers etc which doesn't stop till 2am or later.... The. 6am conercial construction and Jack hankering taking place Also if u want secure parking it's extra and the swipe to get in and out is very tempermental
