Mantra on Salt Beach Kingscliff

We had a great weekend stay at these apartments.. Our room was clean, cozy and modern. Great spa bath. The only faults for me was the reception's service. Staff not very friendly, just polite. And no pool towels in the room. I had to wait in the queue at reception to grab them, and it was busy. The beds just had a sheet and it was a very cold weekend. Pulled out the blankets but the air con/heater in lounge area so not great when the room is cold. Young guy at the bar was great. Pity both pools not heated as the one that was, was small and busy. BUT we had a great time and would stay again.

Lovely accomodation. We had a 2 bedroom suite and could see the pool, the balcony was lovely to sit on. The 2 black plastic recliners have just got some sun damage and are frail so we didn't want to sit on them. Very central location and welcoming staff.

Quick winter getaway over weekend. Great location and friendly staff, Sand at reception went above and beyond assisting our group. Breakfast was decent but had to walk over at Peppers next door, plenty of restaurants options within walking distance. One of the highlights of our trip with kids was visit to Tropical Fruit Garden which is only a short 10 mins drive from the hotel. Rooms are dated but will return again due to the service provided by staff.

We needed a quiet getaway & Salt Beach has always been a favourite of ours. It’s such a stunning location, great food next door with so many delicious options. Sadly the hotel was a let down, service staff were unfriendly, our room didn’t have any blankets so it’s was a cold night! There was no body wash in the shower, no soap on the bathroom sink, no pool towels in our room, no milk in the fridge for a morning cuppa and our in room phone didn’t work so we had to ring the hotel and sit on hold for fresh towels… then had someone walk into our room while we were in bed. It was an experience, sadly not a great one! Just because you have a beautiful location doesn’t mean you should let your standards slip. Do better Mantra!!

What a disappointing experience. My partner booked a room at Mantra Kingscliff which looked beautiful in the photos. Unfortunately our room was awful. There is no way this is a 4 star hotel. Many of the shutters were broken. One had a faulty hinge so couldn’t be opened at all. The balcony furniture was so yucky that we chose not to go out there (pictured). The entire apartment was very dusty and there was mould in the shower. We asked for a highchair for our toddler and the one they sent up was absolutely disgusting and filthy (pictured). We asked for another and they just cut the straps off of that one and said “they don’t need straps anyway”. Ummm…they do. Our toddler immediately climbs and falls out of high chairs if unstrapped, it’s a safety mechanism. It was very frustrating to pay the money we did for this experience and will never recommend this hotel to anyone. Micky- save your generic cut & paste spiel and just fix the problems that people are experiencing.
