Mantra on Salt Beach Kingscliff

Very surprised at this resort. Reminded me in presentation of our overseas holidays, especially Fiji and Hawaii. We like straight forward quality accommodation, no frilly stuff. But we had a larger than expected apartment, spacious outdoor area, streaming services, large lounge and master bedroom TVs, good speed wifi, spa and shower, full kitchen inclusions, access pools and tennis courts, easy walk to beach, walkway and cycleway and resort shops. Sufficient underground secure parking. I found the apartment so comfortable I took regular daily naps with the ocean sounds and breezes. Loved it. Very nice.

Amazing front of house staff and the rooms are amazing. The mantra are very family and baby friendly and very close to the beach. We proudly hire and deliver all baby and holiday essentials to this amazing stay

The staff were lovely and very helpful, when we checked in, that was the one and only positive thing to take away from our 2 day stay. Our room was not clean, there was long dark hairs in the basin and on the vanity as well in the shower. There was a dust film and fluff in the bath. There was thick dust on the bedhead, side tables and lamps also dead bugs in the door, window and plantain blind tracks. Our room was not serviced or cleaned for our whole stay, sheets not changed or even bed made up, no replacement towels etc in bathroom; checking in on Saturday PM and out on Monday morning, which was very poor service. The majority of the staff were rude, disrespectful and ill-mannered, especially the bar staff. We paid for breakfast for Sunday & Monday mornings and had to walk over the road to another resort to get it. We would never go back to the Mantra on Salt Beach or recommend it to anyone. It was one big overly expensive disappointment. And to top things off, no Wi-Fi, you have to pay for it.

Beautiful reception and pool spaces with lovely gardens, staff were kind and helpful. Breakfast was awesome, really good options and well cooked. Loved the happy hour bites menu, so delicious and perfect with an afternoon drink by the pool.

The grounds and rooms are nice and we enjoyed our stay, but the property is starting to show its age. It's not a 'luxury' hotel. Can't fault the stunning pool area however on our first day there were no pool towels available when we checked in. We came back the next morning and were given white bath towels?? Amenities are limited (no body lotion, only one extra toilet roll). For the price paid I would have expected a bit more. It's a nice 45 min walk to town and you can get the bus back if need be, drops you right at the front. Great location within driving distance to other spots.
