a month agoPoor customer service experience. Unfortunately, I did not receive the 5 months' worth of points I was entitled to. The company had made a substantial group booking worth hundreds of thousands at the hotel, and I was informed that I had to wait for the entire group to check out before I could receive my points and platinum membership benefits. I patiently waited for this to happen, only to be told that I couldn't receive the points because I had checked out over 6 months ago, citing it as their policy. The conflicting information and lack of consideration for a loyal, high-paying customer has led me to advise the company against using this hotel in the future.

2 months agoThe most amazing breakfast buffet I’ve ever seen! TBF I haven’t seen a lot… this was pretty amazing though, heaps of options and the food was yummy! Huge bathroom in the apartment I was in. Great location too, central to heaps of good stuff.

a month agoGreat city hotel at reasonable price. This was our second stay at the Mantra on Russell. Its close to the theatres and a short tram ride away from Marvel Stadium where we went to a concert on this occasion. I find this hotel has a calm, welcoming ambience which makes you feel relaxed and happy to stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel provides a guest car park (A$35 p/day) which is convenient and secure. We stayed in a King room on the 18th floor. Pleasantly surprised to get a balcony with views over Chinatown and across the city. The room was very clean & welcoming. Didn't really like the bathroom layout as the toilet was just inside the door which was a bit strange but not a big deal. The king bed was so plush and comfortable. Regular TV viewing with a few Foxtel channels. Probably would be better with smart TVs in these days of streaming. Buffet breakfast on the 1st floor was very good; not too fancy but most satisfying. Again a nice & relaxing atmosphere to enjoy either a hot breakfast of bacon, eggs, sausages, etc., cereals, pastries, toast, fresh fruit and yogurts, juices, brewed coffee & tea. The friendly staff kept the food well stocked and tables cleared quickly. We pre-booked on arrival and paid A$22 p/person for breakfast. We were very happy with our short stay and will definitely be back.

7 months agoRooms were clean and spacious with a comfortable bed. Was slightly let down by the shower/bath combo. The bath was appreciated by my wife after a long day of walking, but the shower needed to be separate. Elevators were a little slow when called. Pool and gym clean and well appointed. Bar wasn't open which was disappointing. Staff were helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Nice and close to the Mall, restaurants, theatres and trams.

5 months agoStayed for a weekend, room was super clean and the location was perfect. Amazing view from the 18th floor! Close to lots of delicious good options, and walking distance to Bourke Street Mall. The staff, particularly Huy, were very helpful and friendly.
