a month agothe stay was pleasant enough, when now three months later awaiting for the “hold” of $100 for the room we booked - never received the hold back only for it to mysteriously disappear from my bank statements - when you go to ask reception and management about how to acquire said $100 back they couldn’t be more unhelpful with the rehearsed lines of “contact your financial institution” where you’re questioned by them if it ever was taken out in the first place - if you want to be extorted out of your money this place is the way to go! Don’t expect any of it back or help either.

2 months agoLocated close to the 'new' offices, this one is very appealing for business stays. Got a few choices for eating out and fuel station nearby. Staff are good and professional. The rooms are quite spacious, although the appliances Alf bath fittings are quite old. Some scope for improvement there given the old style of hot and cold flows have some inefficiencies in water management. I works definitely stay here again if there is a choice and recommend it.

3 months agoRoom decor and fittings are aging somewhat, but my room was very big with large kitchen/dining/lounge and separate bedroom with lots of space for the desk if you need to work. Staff were friendly and breakfast was good.

4 months agoMade the mistake of not reading the description when booking. I’ve stayed at many mantras before and assumed it would be like the others. This is a 4 star, however we think it should be a 3. The rooms are outdated which is okay, however their no daily house keeping. For a four star hotel we would have assumed their was house keeping. What hotels don’t have smart TVs these days ? Unable to watch anything on tv. The milk watchers in the fridge were out of Date and had to walk down to reception to collect towels/Toilet paper ourselves. Definitely won’t stay here again and will Be sure to be careful when booking next time. Really did expect better from a four star hotel.

2 months agoMantra on Northbourne has a great location, about 10mins walk to the Camberra Central shopping. The rooms are spacious. Although furniture is a bit dated, it is well maintained. There was only instant coffee in the room and paid coffee machine, which was a let down. Parking is charged extra. It is bit narrow for large cars, but manageable. Overall a good hotel with specious rooms, friendly staff, but a little bit dated compared to other options around.
