Not one to leave negative feedback but I was very disappointed during our stay at Mantra on Mary. Booked through Accor using points however, the full room charge applied. The lobby smelt disgusting and the room wasn’t much better. Visible faeces on the blanket on the bed and grime on the kitchen benches. Carpet appeared worn and lifted in areas. Booked this room for a night away from our house that is being renovated and couldn’t even sleep in the bed. The room was so hot and uncomfortable and the AC unit was locked on 24 degrees. Ended up sleeping on the couch after 4 hours of tossing and turning in a rock hard bed. Lots of noise from the CRR project which was understandable but couldn’t even open the door for fresh air. Definitely not an experience I was hoping for. Wouldn’t recommend.

I didn't enjoy my stay here. The building has limited and old facilities, no restaurant, and was very old. As soon as you walk in its smells bad and it's throughout the whole apartment. In the bathroom the drains smell of sewerage. The rooms old and grotty and the kitchen wasnt stocked with useful utensils and items. However the stage where unbelievable accommodating and friendly. They were the only positive thing of my stay

Staff are just lovely, friendly and very helpful. Central location, however unfortunately due to the 24 hr construction of the cross river rail our unit was very noisy and we really couldn't have the doors open to the small balcony. Our room looked straight over the top of it. Unit was small, however very clean. The issue we had was the deadly high and deep bath you had to nearly climb over and in to. Pretty risky when wet. No freezer in fridge.

I booked last minute online as there was an issue with my former accomodation and couldn’t stay there anymore. Was pleased that I could book on the day ad check in an hour later however upon arriving we were told that the car park was full which I can understand as it’s river fire but at the same time if your a paying guest you expect parking on site to be an option & you couldn’t prebook it prior. When you walk in to the lift and by the gym/ pool there is a strong smell throughout the hotel which I assume is from the waste and chute and it is foul, very off putting. When we got to the room the first thing we noticed is that there was just two small windows at the top of the rooms and it felt very closed in, my nephew had gone to the bathroom and found that there was something sticky all over the handle, when we finally looked at the room properly the carpets were stained & the couch had rips in it, so I went downstairs to explain the room could probably do with a clean/ check from house keeping as it was quite dirty and he said he would send someone up as they had no other rooms so we could not change so we waited for someone to come. Nobody came up to the room or made an effort to deal with the issue, and we were only staying one night so just dealt with it but there is definitely a cleanliness issue with the hotel & would only stay again if I messaged prior to make sure the room is properly cleaned and in a room with a balcony. Please look at fixing the smell throughout as this would make a big difference as well.

We stayed in King room 2309, expensive room.... Carpets were disgraceful. Dinning table had multiple chips on the edges can cause splinters. There was 3 small windows and no balcony. When the vmcarpets were reported they comped us free parking and late check out - we didn't use late check out as there was no kitchen facilities as a service, and we did not want to have to go shopping to get supplies to Cook our own.
