2 weeks agoCheck in was swift and the receptionist was polite and efficient. I like the location and the restaurant was great as was the room. Well done, this is my preferred hotel when visiting Mackay.

5 months agoLocation was beautiful, the staff amazing. The restaurant had a lovely breakfast. My only complaint would be that the rooms are quite outdated. Our bathroom had mould on the roof and all in the silicone in the shower floor. I would just think for the price point we paid the upkeep would be a little better.

2 weeks agoA pleasant location on the harbour and only a few minutes drive into the town centre of Mackay, there is enough to keep you entertained here for a few nights and enjoy the uniqueness of the Mackay harbourside. The hotel is old and in need of a an update across the board. Our room, although a premier room, was looking very tired. The view and room size was a nice distraction from the ageing room and furnishings but the design was poor. Some better ideas on furniture layout, kitchen design and dining space is needed to make the most of the harbour view rooms. New lounges would be a good start. A better design and improved furnishings could demand a higher and higher nightly rate but this should probably be done regardless. Staff were amazingly friendly, helpful and understanding of our requirements and expectations. The hotel is a short walk to several pubs, restaurants and clubs with a bar and restaurant on site too. Would definitely consider the Mantra on our return, especially if renovations have been undertaken.

3 weeks agoFirst off the lady at reception was one a million for service, smiles and jokes, very relaxing start and finish of our time at Mantra. THE ROOM WAS GREAT AND EVERYTHING WORKED WELL. Will always start at Mantra Mackay Marina side when we visit. Cheers Steve K

4 months agoPrime location. The view is amazing! Front desk are very helpful. Especially Kerry. Really grateful for his assistance in keeping all the items I’ve left safe until I get them back. Only downside is the availability of food. Overall, 4/5. Will definitely stay again next time I’m in Mackay!
