4 months agoWe recently stayed here for 2 nights and had a great experience. We stayed in a self contained apartment with direct pool access right outside the door and our own private balcony. You wouldn't even know you were right in the middle of the town with all the restaurants and a supermarket right next door. Definitely worth the stay and we'll most likely be returning.

2 months agoThis should be a higher rated experience, however the freezing cold pool is such a disappointment. It is not heated! Having booked a swim out room (room leads directly into the pool) we had really high hopes for a holiday of relaxing in the pool.. this became a holiday of watching others dip a foot in and all exclaim to the icy feel. This pool was beautiful to sit beside but useless as you couldn't enjoy it. There is also an area that looks like a spa.. it isn't. Just blows bubbles and just as cold as the pool it joins. A second sore point was the TV being set to just local channels. No ability to cast / stream to the TV. I feel this should just be standard these days. Good location in town Nice rooms Easy access Freezing pool

2 months agoThe location is excellent and the rooms are spacious with beautiful swimming pools that need to be cleaned and upgraded. The rooms are also in need of upgrades, especially considering how much we paid each night. But perhaps we got surge pricing.. haha. See the photographs below below for the condition of the room. Regarding service, we were told that they clean once a week.

5 months agoOur family was visiting from Switzerland and they wanted to go to Port Douglas. We are a party of 5. The only room type that was available is what is called a dual key. It’s a 1 bedroom appt with another hotel room next door. We did have direct pool access from our rooms but the pool surrounding area needed some attention and hadn’t been dusted in a while. Location, was fabulous as was so close to everything max 10 minutes walk to the most popular restaurants. The staff here are super friendly and are well informed on everything around the area to do. I even received phone calls from the property to see if I had any questions. Mantra properties do not include linen changes for less then a weeks stay from my understanding, but for the price point I’d expect at least one change over 7 days. Be aware that if you want to cook in the kitchen any smoke must be kept to a minimum or the fire alarm will go off and you may be charged for fire brigade attendance. There was a sign. So we didn’t use the Kitchen. We’d stay here again in a 1 bedroom, but not a dual key.

2 months agoOlder style premises in the heart of Port Douglas which could benefit from a spruce up! Rooms small on ground floor and overlook a pool. Apart from pool no other facilities to speak of apart from a BBQ area. Friendly staff. Room serviced weekly so good to be tidy.
