Mantra has lost its class, is tired and not worth the money you pay. Ahead of the arrival of our second bub, my husband and I booked a room (room 38) for $350 a night to soak up the last of our time before chaos was due to hit. Although the location is good, and the views are great, that’s about where the positivities end…the state of the bathroom in particular, and the wider standard of the room left a lot to be desired, for example you’d think you’d have atleast a comfy couch for the figure we paid, there was also no room service available from what we could tell. Overall, the quality of our stay overall couldn’t be better summed up than the poor customer service provided in the sea container reception area with a door that looked like it had been taken to by a bunch of primary school children. Would not recommend, and would hope that there’s other accommodation places that provide better bang for your buck in Geraldton, I know we’ll be looking elsewhere next time. In summary - well done Mantra, not many could managed to fall well short of the potential that this place offers in terms of location and proximity to great eating venues, but you’ve managed to.

Disappointing stay. Room 46. The rooms are not as advertised ie King Superior 2 bed apartment did not have a king in the second bedroom only a double/queen that could not be converted into a twin. We were offered a rollaway but lucky we had children and this wasn't a problem for them to share. Photos on the internet are misleading. The showers were horrifying. Full of black/pink/orange mould. I had to go to Coles to buy cleaning products to scrub the showers before it was acceptable to use them. The mould mostly all came off. Had to clean both bathrooms thoroughly as at this point, I was fearing for my family's health. The kitchen was ok but fingermarks all over the stainless steel and fridge. I had to give the kitchen a good clean too before we could use anything. There was only a set of 4 for everything, plates, glasses and all mismatched. Basic cooking utensils provided. Can only do a pasta dish, forget about using the oven as no baking paper provided. Bin liners, detergent, washing powder all insufficient for a family of 4 and a stay of 6 days. Carpets were filthy and stained, tiled areas sticky and again need a thorough clean. Brown sofa was broken so unpleasant to sit on, light blue sofas were all stained and they smelt. The beds were reasonable I guess but I was worried about laying down on them and had to put something between me and the sheets. The outdoor setting only had 2 seats so had to bring chairs out from the dining table so we could eat on the balcony. One of the nights we had a very unpleasant experience with a family staying below us, who thought it would be a great idea to abuse illegal substances for the night (I am assuming it was this as I can't figure what else it could have been) so had to put up with yelling, banging and crashing, vile language and general very weird/psychotic musings being yelled out by the male. We had to tell reception and the girl was very lovely to us and spoke to them and she did the best she could. The location was lovely and central though and the reception staff were lovely. I'm not sure if it we were given an apartment intended for 2 people maybe and probably just bad luck. I suspect that management and accor hotels are not really invested in fixing things up in these rooms so there is not much that can be done but the cleanliness at least can be improved.

While the location of the hotel was very central the room we stayed in was filthy. We found dirty underpants behind a door, McDonald cups under the lounge and the dining room chairs were broken and seat covers were filthy. The air conditioning remotes were missing in one room and the other one was not working. On arrival we were rushed through the checkin and given incorrect information on wifi and didn’t get codes for the facilities. A really disappointing stay

Rooms are in really bad shape. Not worth the money they are charging. I would say if you don't find any room and desperately need stay then this would be the last option.

Terrific location and helpful staff. Terrible rooms, about three years overdue for maintenance. Sleep with your sunglasses on or the air con controls (at eye level) will actually blind you in the middle of the night. Outdoor lounge furniture inside, bleach spots on dining chairs, and the bathroom had clearly been broken into at some stage with a jimmy bar judging by the damage to the door. Top shelf prices seriously low rate accomodation. I was very tempted to scrub one of the tiles in the middle of the floor so they could see just how dirty they really are. Just a very grubby place.
